The first is the number of pieces of the heat exchanger. The number of pieces determines the number of flow channels. The volume flow of the medium is constant. When the heat exchanger corner holes are smaller, the flow velocity through the interface is higher, resulting in higher pressure drop. Therefore, the pressure loss of the plate heat exchanger is mainly determined by the number of flow channels and the size of the interface, and the number of flow channels is determined by the number of plates.
